Yes, it’s true. I’m a W-2 employee now. I’ve recently started a new job as a bank teller. I have to be in office from 9am-5pm while I complete my training. Some stats below:

The Pros

  1. My co-workers are great. They’re funny, nice and I get along with them well.

  2. Theres a business casual dress code and it’s forced me to get more “professional” clothing. I already feel more comfortable being in a dress shirt.

The Cons

  1. The commute. It takes me 20-something minutes to get to work which means I have to wake up earlier to get ready.

  2. 30 min break.

Conclusion

Maybe I’ll keep updating the pros and cons list as I continue to work here. In the coming weeks and months, I’ll still be looking for a salary job. Thinking about self employment options as well.
